Commissioning Day

Please join us for the MVYC Commissioning Day and Blessing of the Fleets. Passed down through generations of sailors and navies around the world the centuries-old ceremony is intended to safeguard crews and ships from the danger of the sea through a traditional blessing given by a clergyman at the waters edge. Our ceremony will be brief and features the flag raising by the local Boy Scout Troop.

Please join us for the ceremony and the picnic with food and drink provided by the Club immediately after the proceedings.
